Understanding The Ailerons.
- The ailerons are located at the rear of the wing, one on each side.
- They work opposite to each other
- When one is raised, the other is lowered.

- Their job is to increase the lift on one wing, while reducing the lift on the other.
- By doing this, they roll the aircraft sideways, which allows the aircraft to turn.
- This is the primary method of steering a fixed-wing aircraft.

Well I was roaming through an article few years back and I was shocked to find out that ailerons can also be used to recover from a stall I don't get the physics behind that theory but its true to certain point

The use of ailerons in a stall has long been an issue of debate for many. Some say that airlerons actually aggravate the stall. They say uncoordinated airleron use during a stall can actually produce a greater angle of attack — and quite possibly a more complete stall at the tip as the critical angle of attack is exceeded.
